What part of "Michkov was never going to sign with us" is so hard for people to understand? You may as well cry about not drafting Sidney Crosby back when we had zero chance of getting him, too.
 
Michkov made it plain which teama he was interested in and which one he would prefer not to be with. The Habs were among the latter. Besides, Russians like him are not a good fit. Too douchey.
 
There were a couple of plays Reinbacher made in pre-season that a top notch seasoned Dman would make (i.e quickly angling the opponent out of the play) . Too bad he got injured, I think he would have been the best Dman in Laval.
 
Preds score to break Ullmark's shutout bid. Press lose in Toronto, Montreal and Ottawa but only the Habs shut them out.

The part where it's all made up? I just think the Habs were not that interested in him, for a variety of factors.

On that note, I've never really heard of any Russian not wanting to play in Montreal.

Michkov didn’t want to play in Arizona or Washington.
 
A few of us were puzzled immediately after the Habs passed on Michkov. But what did we know........we're still puzzled.

Hugo etc. may not survive it.
