Habs will win either series IF they qualify for playoffs.
Habs are some 17-7 vs Atlantic division opponents

I think we can beat Washington more easily. Against Toronto we would need to accomplish one of 2 things; win the series or, if we lose it, take out such a physical toll on them that they become easy pickings in the 2nd round. I think Ottawa can do a better job in either scenario.
The main goal is to prevent a Leafs Cup run. So you either beat them, or beat them up. Ottawa can beat them and, if they somehow don't, can really beat them up so that they're useless afterwards.
If Washington beats us, who cares?

That's your main goal. I'd be rooting for the Leafs right after we're eliminated.

We ain't winning a damn thing. Being in the playoffs is the victory for this season.
Just an fyi, none of us like the Leafs but them not winning is not our ultimate goal.

In a year when we actually had a real chance to win, sure, but we ain't winning a Cup this year so the priority is to make sure the Leafs don't win, either by beating them, or beating them up.

Well, if anyone is going to beat us out of a playoff spot, better it be Columbus. No real issue with that.
We have chance in the first round if we do get in,regardless of the opponent.And maybe beyond. But I see it more like 2010 than 1993 (we'll run out of gas at some point). But who knows. Nice to be able to think about it for a change.
