Around The League - 2024-25 Regular Season

Watching Bruins/Rangers. Boston plays so tight. A crowd goes into the corner after the puck, the Bruins come out with it. A Bruin goes to the front of the net, another Bruin finds him. Puck is shot around the boards in defensive zone by the opposition, a Bruin finds a way to keep it into the zone at the last second. They make hardly any mistakes, and if a Bruin does make one, another Bruin does something to negate it.They seem to have two more players on the ice than the other team. I keep hoping it will stop (unless they meet the Leafs), but its been like this all year. I begrudgingly admire. Not sure I've seen anything like it.

Meanwhile, Panarin forgets about shooting and tries long ice cross passes to Kane instead, over and over. Which, of course, the Bruins intercept.

They will annihilate the Leafs.

What an awful signing was Jack Campbell. Holland must have been blinded by Leaf media hysteria last year.

Campbell is useless, has been all year. Maybe Edmonton should have focused on yet another goalie at the deadline. The hopes of the McDavid Oilers are hanging on Skinner.

I never believed in the whole, Jack Campbell's a good or great #1 goalie thing like some Leafs fans tried to make you believe, but what he's doing this year is just... I don't know what happened. It's like he got the yips.

Exactly my point , he didnt have to be anything but reliable .....15-20 in the league was good enough

We complained about Jack for pretty much the whole second half of the year last season. He was .893 from January on. Don't know if this should've been a surprise for Holland.

Leafers here couldn't wait for him to move on.

I didn't think he'd be this bad. He's not better than what they got if this is his play.

Knowledgable Leaf fans might have had the correct take, but Sportsnet etc. continued to overblow his performances, as they tend to do. .

Holland, it seems, had a less correct take.

You'd think the Oilers would have found their own version of Pheonix Copley, Andrew Hammond, etc. by now. They have had long enough to look.
