I want whatever hurts THEM. And right now, what hurts them more than losing is winning just enough to stay mired in mediocrity. They just need to go .500 the rest of the way to ensure their worst possible case scenario. Even their own fans are pissed off that they won last night.

I find I do want the Leafs to win a few games here and there generally, to remain mired in mediocrity as you say. But when it comes to a specific game on any given night, I have to root against them. Even against Buffalo, or......anyone. I want them to win here and there in spite of me cheering against them, if that makes any sense.

Being a Leaf hater can be complicated at times.
