Hall of Fame QB, in Toronto for game, says effort to keep team here includes 'major businesspeople'
TORONTO -- Former Buffalo Bills quarterback Jim Kelly wants the team to remain in Western New York. And he says that it will, if he has anything to say about it.
Attending Sunday's game against the Chicago Bears in Rogers Centre, Kelly reiterated his interest in putting an ownership group together when the franchise goes up for sale.
Owner Ralph C. Wilson Jr. has maintained his stance that the team won't be sold while he's alive, which means that someone outside Western New York could get it. But Kelly indicated that he and others are prepared to make sure that doesn't happen.
