Claude Julien is new coach of the Habs

short term, likely.

Long term, I bet he's back in the NHL.
IMO MTs NHL coaching career just came to an end. In an era where articulation & communication is amongst the most sought after qualities in dealing with Millennials - it's a core incompetency for MT.

Does Julien still get paid full salary by the Bruins or is the difference split by both teams
Cheap bastard Jacobs I'm sure is more than thrilled to save the $$$. I suspect Julien agreed to let the Booins off the hook (terminate the contract without further payment) in exchange for allowing him get more $ from the Habs.

FWIW, rumors are swirling here in New England, Neely was begging old man Jacobs not give Habs permission to speak with Julien.

If so, Neely is a complete douche....classy organizations don't get in the way of letting fired personnel find opportunities elsewhere and don't get in the way of current personel from pursuing a promotion.

Well put, that's what I mentioned earlier in this thread, he's a good coach but have a hard time commanding respect due to the way he expresses himself

Since when are Bruins synonymous with classy?
FWIW, Bruins media like Joe Haggerty, Fluto Shinzawa, Kevin Paul Dupont are shocked Bs gave Habs permission to speak with Julien...

It'll be nice to have a coach that can actually articulate in press conferences... in both languages. Therrien was shit in both.

Sucks to say this but Players will likely respond well because Julien can communicate His message a lot easier.

As for Therrien, the worse thing he can do for himself is work in the Quebec media bubble and lose the progress he has made in english over the last decade.

He should really put himself in a sitjation where he is speaking english on a daily basis so he can have a better chance to land a coaching job

Good point...and the Boston media are clowns so Im nit surprised

His French sucks too though.

Yeah but who cares...if this guy has to interview for an NHL job his english needs to be improving.

It has big time since his first go round due to his gig in wilkes-Barre and Pit
