Claude Julien is new coach of the Habs

Julien signed 4 or 5 year deal at between $4-$5 million per season, as per Pierre LeBrun.

crap, that is a lot of coin, more than he made with Bruins

factor in what we have to pay Mad Mike for the next couple of years and we are paying a ton for HCs, that alone is Dauterive's job security,,,

I think Therrien will get another job. His record is good.

If Randy Carlyle can get another head coach gig.

therrien is a good coach but unfortunately the way he handles himself and expresses himself may work against him.

I have a feeling he lost respect in that room and was starting to not be taken seriously

You have to think so.

I said on the weekend. None of us knows if Therrien has "lost the room" but after that meeting Bergevin knows, one way or the other.

Pretty safe to say that he "lost the room" at this point. The leadership group met with MB and now Therrien is gone.

Now it's up to the players and Julien to let the results speak for them.

Julien is a good coach...there is one criteria that the coach of the ahabs needs to have that no other team requires and that the language factor.

Now when a coach of this caliber becomes available and has that criteria MB would have been dumb to not study it considering how bad the team has been for the last 20 games or so

Yeah....no issue with letting Therrien go. I kind of liked his emotion first time around , and am quite surprised he lasted this long on the second go round. That is not easy to do in this market. That said, I was not in favor of him getting the second gig in the first place. As for Julien,I am kind of indifferent to all this same old, same old.....

If there's one luxury about being one of the wealthiest teams its that money shouldnt matter.

Here you go boys....

probably won't be showing Winnipeg and Montreal,,,

and when I am way, I tend not to sit in a hotel room watching hockey and give Contessa free reign with the credit cards,,,,

Every casino in vegas has a sports book. Every sports book will show games on hundreds of TVs. I'm sure you can find Winnipeg vs Montreal.

There used to be an ESPN Zone resto-bar in the New York New York. It should still be there, although it's no longer affiliated with the Worldwide Leader since they're out of the restaurant business. They have all the games on.

well now sure... we couldn't have known before Bergevin acted.
