Ya I get it. And Mo will get first dibs with Tanev. If they don't hard match any of their d pairs there's no reason why it can't work. But queef took Mo off the Brodie pair prior to every playoff because it never worked against the top teams/players. Tanev is another level of elite tho.

I still don’t like going the “pray that a 30 year-old career backup/AHL journeyman is adequate insurance for Woll” route. But that contract is significantly better than I thought it’d be.
Actually pretty wild that Woll managed to get $1M more per season and an extra year of term as an RFA with a piddly track record.
