USA wont be squeezed like the last few years for UFA money

Why overpay and have another albatross deal , on a team 3 years away from being 2 years away

I hope the presser gives a clearer picture on direction

I'd much rather use our UFA money as cap retention when trading Price and Gallagher.

Yup or pick up some vets with expiring deals with extra picks and prospects

Team is going nowhere for 3 years so cap retention doesnt stop us from doing anything
 
Now what?

I suspect minor changes this summer such as dump salary where you can but target next TDL as the main goal. The objective should be to rehab players like Armia, Petry, Dvorak, Hoffman, Savard etc and get more assets back.

That's my prediction.
