FI Dynasty Hockey League Discussion 2019-2020

Sounds great. If he's in, pm me his email address (get him to register on Fantrax first) and I'll send him an invite to take over Bull's team.

My friend is coming over Saturday night to go over his team/the league/etc, so we should have his stuff sorted by then. Hopefully if all goes well we can still aim to start draft by Sunday some time.

Awesome. The great part for him is that it's a pretty good team to start. Usually people are taking over duds. He has a bunch of valuable guys if he's looking to make moves too.
 
Protected Lists:

15 Lists are in, still need:

- Bull / Thunder's Friend
- Bobby / Fergy's Friend
- Killersweet
- Kritter

As for the lists, there are 2 discrepancies, please get these to match exactly. We have had a couple of problems in the past so I like to make sure the lists are an exact match to Fantrax.

1. Fergy - you've got 49 players on your list, 50 in Fantrax
2. Habsy - you've got 40 players on your list, 41 in Fantrax
 
We have set a tentative start time for the draft on Sunday. However, we still need to get a few things sorted first with protected lists & entry fees. In addition we'll have 2 new managers and I want to make sure they're comfortable with the league rules & setup before we move on.

Fergy's friend is registered on Fantrax, still need to get Bull's replacement in there. Before we start the draft, let's make sure both of the new managers can get in there and take a look around, change their team names, and let us know if they have questions about the league, rules or settings first.
 
I just sent payment for Jesse.

I owed him $ anyways so figure it will keep things rolling.
 
Thunder's friend is in.

Fantrax account has been created and email address as been sent to axlsalinger.
Payment will be sent today.

He is unavailable today and tomorrow morning, so team name change and stuff may have to wait a day.
Protected List will be sent tomorrow afternoon.

We would be able to proceed with the draft right after the list as been sent.
He does not have a 1rst round pick this year, so he should be able to prepare for his 2nd round picks.
 
Also I have a question about unprotected players during the draft.

If use a 4rth round pick to draft an unprotected player, could someone drafting after use a 4rth round pick to take him away from me because he would not be part of my 20 protected players ?

In other words, would I have to make space for him in my list of 20 players, or is he safe joining my "unprotected players" as long as I don't go over 5 (25) ?

Can someone refresh my memory on the draft for this league?
Is it done on Fantrax or on this forum?

Also, how much time do with have to make a pick?
I assume since we're doing this so early that it's slow draft.

In the forum.

Not sure if there is an exact time in place, but generally for the first 2 rounds its been about a 24 hour max (if memory serves). If you aren't going to be around, its encouraged to give a list of players you'd want to draft with your pick to another manager, so they can make a selection for you if need be.

So yeah, not really a rush, but there shouldn't be a need for a player to take a week to make a pick either.

No, only your unprotected players are in danger... and once the draft is over, the ones that have not been selected are yours.

If anyone has a list, I’m happy to help. I don’t have any picks until the 4th round so no conflict of interest.
