Mesar having great success so far in the OHL shouldn't be too much of a surprise. The caliber of play is lower than the Slovakian league, in a way. But sending him to the OHL wasn't because of the caliber of play, it was to get acclimatized to North American hockey. What I find very interesting with him is how seamlessly he's adapted it. While I understand they're two different calibers of play, he seems to have adapted to it much better than Slafkovsky has so far.

Very promising start for him. He's a one & done when it comes to the OHL, he'll be in the NHL or Laval next season.
