Four Nations, Canada takes on the world

it was an epic series, teachers brought in TVs and we watched the games in classroom and the gym .. and yes, everyone was dancing in the streets, I still remember the headlines in the papers.. Nyet Nyet Soviet..
Yeah we were all headed into the gym to watch games 7 and 8 on a 21" Electrohome black and white TV. My memory is as clear as day about that. The world stopped. History was dead. There was only that moment. And for years after I judged people's hockey opinions based on whether or not they were old enough to remember Henderson scoring the goal. If they weren't, their opinions could be disregarded.

I missed watching games 5-7 live because they aired during school hours. Our teachers were cool, and let us bring in radios to hear the games.
 
In the first NHL game that I went to, Jacques Plante was in net for St Louis, and Tim Horton was on defense for the Leafs so, yes.
I don't remember enough about being at the Forum for the first time but I do recall the first game I went to in Toronto:
