Simmer down now. Everything is relative. It may be a big number for a hockey game, but that doesn't make it a big number in general.

For instance, 9.9 million Americans watched Matlock last week.

The difference is that next week, the NHL will be right back to getting it's customarily shitty ratings while the next episode of Matlock will still get over 9 million viewers.
