Gadget player trade talk

Here is another reason why I like Simon Boisvert. Unlike other pundits like Grant McCagg, who can never admit they made a mistake and simply double down (as McCagg did with Jason Ward, angrily claiming it was a good first round pick years after Ward was a proven bust) Boisvert is a big enough person to admit it when he gets something wrong.

Good for him to finally come around but it's a bit late, he only did it when he could no longer deny it. At least he did the work to look back at what he did wrong, but I do suspect there was a reactionary bias against all the hype surrounding him in Montreal, which I understand. We've seen the fans and media overhype prospects all the time.

I love that Simon thinks the habs will be out before april..

He will do the same this year with regard to his predictions about the habs in late April when we've beaten the Loaves again in the first round

We will be out by then, as we should be. But we may not be drafting in the top 5 anymore.

sports is really a way to commiserate with strangers....as every year, there's only one winner and 31 losers.

I truly believe sports fandom is worse due to the innanet. When I was young no fan wanted their teams to lose. Now many fans prefer losing so they can bitch. It's the same across all sports.
Yeah you’d have no friends back then if you kept predicting gloom and doom all the time. Now at least you can annoy strangers on the internet in all safety.

I bitched about the Habs plenty back in the day. My expectations for them then were far higher than they are now.
