Because it worked so well on the 4th line, so just apply the same formula to the 3rd line.
Right around when the Habs beat the leafs in the Covid playoffs

The problem right now is 3 top 9 fwds are out.

If only they kept/called up skilled kids like Cowan/Minten/Grebeykin in times of injurty instead of carrying 5 5th liners (Holmberg, Kampf, Dewar, Reaves, Lorentz).

meh minten has been hurt and they can only call up Cowan on an emergency basis.
Grebs - sure but he’s like 10 games in and looked behind the pace in pre season

Meh, he is what he is. Super productive sometimes, invisible others. If he was good Domi all of the time he would be a 6-7 million dollar player. My bigger concern is why anyone playing in our bottom 6 can't provide offence. Not sure if it's a personnel/skill thing or a tactics thing. But even MaxPac who the entire world was jerking off about how well he was playing before the injury was on pace for 12-13 goals. A lot more like busted Washington MaxPax than still semi elite Carolina MaxPac. McMann's goal scoring pace way down, Robbie's obviously way down, Kampf's way down....Reaves has somehow played 14 games already, has a single point and not a single fighting major. Either this guys beats people up or what exactly is his function?
Berube seems to be doubling down on low event hockey he was just given better pieces (and goaltending) than Sheldon got to pull it off with. This sure seems like an organization driven approach at this point.
