GDT #21: 2024/11/24 - Calm before the storm

Could have easily been a 6-7 goal game…

Two posts for Robbie, the cross bar for holmgren, and Minten missing an easy tap.

Sluggish start but even in the first the leafs didn’t give much up. They turned it up in the second and were the better team in the third.

And Utah has some lineup holes, but they win the nerdies most nights and habe some legit skill up front.

Nice game for the leafs.

At this point it feels like Robbie was someone really bad in a previous life.
 
Is it just my imagination or are 5 on 3 goals not happening like they used to?

Seems to me at one time a 5 on 3 power play most times resulted in scoring, I don't know when I last saw the Leafs score a 5 on 3 goal.

Maybe it's just the Leafs?

They have some interesting decisions to make as guys start getting healthy. They shouldn’t be interesting decisions because there was a lot of dead weight on the roster, but it’ll be interesting if Tre/Berune can do the smart thing.

They should be giving the kids a chance ahead of the deadline.
