The Staal and Martinook pairing has dominated possession number for years now, even while playing games against other team's top line at home. But they rarely turn that into goals. That was the big outlier last night, all of that possession time resulted in multiple goals scored. That doesn't happen often.
Adding Svechnikov to that line makes that pairing much better, usually that is someone like Jesper Fast or William Carrier in that spot.
