I must have missed those posts.Pretty sure we already are?
Oh also, **** the NHL for going with a qualifying round to further drive the shame into us.
Leafs played good. Fred didn't. Screwed by bad bounces. It happens.
That said, Mucho is a BUM!
League fuked up
Should of followed the NBA and played 6-8 games to finish the season to determine who the 16 teams are
Give teams a shot to earn a playoff spot , many would of taken out right away and deservedly so
Leafs , Pens , and Oils got fuked in this format ………..a joke
If we can’t beat the blue jackets - we don’t deserve a cup. Format is not really to blame for this.
I think a reasonable argument can be made that the team that got screwed the worst was the Habs. Bad team that lost their shot at the next French Canadian superstar Lafreniere.League fuked up

They weren't guaranteed in at all. They were barely holding a playoff spot and things were looking worse and worse. They just lost to a zamboni driver before the break. This was fair. You were guaranteed in , how the hell can the Habs deserve to get through or the Hawks who were done
The NBA format was the way to go
The "don't blame Fred" crowd is dumb. Blaming Fred and Fred only is equally dumb. Fred was shit as per usual in a do or die game and the Leafs got beat cleanly due to poor luck and the teams being basically dead even in quality. If the Leafs really were a leg up on the BJ's luck would be less of a factor. They're not quite at that point yet. They're in a tier that is shared with almost half the league. Very little separates them. Our expectations are higher because particular players make particular amounts of money but they haven't really shown to be better than just a slightly above average team.
Dubas needs to stop being delusional about this roster. The sample size is increasing and they're not as good as he thinks they are. Which is a fatal flaw for most GMs.
No. That's wrong. "Working harder" isn't the solution. Babcock thought that was the case too but that's way too fucking simplistic. They worked their asses off. They simply lost.Team simply doesn't work hard enough and their give a shit meter is questionable

Yeah if they grinded harder and got pucks deep they'd have a dynasty. No the didn't , too many minutes with no effort
Then your flipping the switch , unacceptable
Inconsistent play , top players underperforming , turnovers , etc.....
They actually missed Hainsey a lot. Never thought I'd say that. Pretty crazy and sad that he couldn't get clear upgrades over Hainsey and Zaitsev. Just a tremendous failure.Yep. I mean Fred gave up some bad goals, and they didn't have any luck (aside from 4 minutes when they had all of the luck), but at the end of the day you are playing Columbus. From day 1 of this season this version of the team just wasn't a legit contender, and they were expected to take the next step.
Dubas took them a step back this season.
