He wants to corner the market on fringe players. Course he will give Seattle a bit of a dilemma. Which of the high priced garbage will they select in the expansion draft? Probably end up taking whatever player is on a mininum wage contract (unproven prospect on ELC) or waiver wire pickup that Benning hasn't yet re-signed.

Is there a worse fanbase?

Our very own @oscarheyman is one notable exception, but aside from him, the only fanbase that competes with them for that title is the Ottawa Senators back in their heyday, back when they still had a handful of fans.

Honestly, I didn't even really have any animosity towards the Canucks at all until I started encountering their fans online.

Truth be told, I was a bit of a prick (ok, more than a bit ) back in the old Scout/Fanhome days but then I "grew up". Some, like Peter Pan, refuse to grow up.
