My biggest issue is that they're both boring as fuck and not super elite. Having a really hard time getting through the games this year and I can't recall that ever being the case in the Matthews era.

They didn't play a pretty brand in the last couple years of Keefe either, but it was better than whatever the fuck this is.

Its so true. I'm not exaggerating when I say I find myself falling asleep and forcing myself to keep watching the game. A lot of times now I'll just record the game and watch whatever I didn't watch at 2x regular speed the next day.

I've screeched about this enough over the last few years....lean into what you are. We've heard so much about them needing "an identity" but the people saying that only see "identity" as being one fucking thing and we know what that thing is because those people don't complain about us not having one anymore. Boring, defensive, physical.

You know what else is an identity that we could have chased? Fast, skilled, physical. There's no reason that teams who generate lots of offence can't be competent defensively as well. Instead we keep making the plow heavier and getting upset when our race horses struggle to pull it.

Organizations play an outsized role in sports success. Amatuer scouting is massively important, player development is massively important, advanced scouting and tactics is massively important.
