I mean I liked Fred tonight as much as anyone. But they scored five goals (four on a goalie). Fred didn't lose them the game which is new I suppose but they gave him more than enough run support tonight.
 
What I love by avoiding Hughson and all the other Toronto media guys, is the opposing teams announcers are truly in some kind of awe

Nylander, is looking un fuggin reall. He has put on some beef, so he has a lot more confidence now He will never be Tom Wilson, but he is a chunky little cute guy now Not lean by any means.

Marner is a great player, but a crippler, in terms of Cap. Marner and whoever, for Lehner and Kane and lets lift a Cup. Even if its just once.
 
we could leapfrog into a solid playoff spot if we take care of business against the sens, and of course beat the panthers just ahead of us.

Only thing that impressed me about Dallas was how quick they were to get on the puck when forechecking. All of that running around chasing hits didn't do much of anything.

3.18 expected goals against. 3 real goals against. Fred did his job, but only did his job. This was not a great game by the Leafs skaters by any stretch, but they're skilled enough to put up 4-5 on you when they're not playing well. This was one of those games you just ask Freddy to not lose, and he did his job. Which is a nice departure from his recent form, so I'll take it.

Mitch is 3rd, Auston is 12th. 28 games, so this isn't a short little isolated hot streak.

Willy is 6th in the league in goals over that period (16G in 28games, 47 goal pace) Auston is 1st (22 in 28, 64 goal pace).
