GDT #56: 2022/2/22 - Rielly Revenge Game

Don't see why we would trade him. He's way better than gregor/reaves.

Yeah, the easy play is for Reaves to be the 13th-14th forward and Jarnkrok to turn the 4th line into a much better version of itself. Also gives him options if McMann's heater and overall level of play subsides. McMann back to the 4th line and Jarnkrok with JT-Nephew is still pretty pretty good.

Knies-Matthews-Marner
Bert-Domi-Nylander
Robertson-Tavares-Jarny/McMann
Holmberg-Kampf-Jarny/McMann

With Gregor or Reaves as the extra.

GP 86, G 5, A 17, Pts 22

Yeah, this has always been the rub. I don't want him in a position where we have to rely on him to do anything in the playoffs. Sitting there as a swiss army knife on the 4th line that can play up the lineup in a pinch is fine though.

I was literally going to add to the end of my post, for no one to bother posting his playoff stats.

I really don't care. He's a very good overall player, he hustles and is reliable defensively, and he has the skills to pick up points here and there. I'm not expecting guys like this to have amazing playoff stats where even the stars see their numbers drop. He just has to be better than his opposition, hold the fort, and chip in something here and there. Leave the scoring to the top 6 for the most part.

We have better scoring/skill depth this season than in any other year since this core was put together imo so that's good. It's a need to have, not a nice to have if you want to win a cup. Vegas last season got big performances from their best players but their bottom 6 combined for 25 goals over the course of the playoffs.

Even more depth when you add Luke Kunin or Tyler Johnson
