GDT #6: 2026/10/10 - A good test

Yeah the avs are really good and this is gonna be a test for sure. Don't have the travel/timezone excuse this time. We're not going to be able to carry play against them but we can't be letting them dominate possession like we let VGK do for 2 periods. Making it extra tough is that the Avs (dirt cheap) bottom 6 has been dynamite to start the year, while we're gonna have Groulx on the 3rd line and MacEwen/Wood on the already bad 4th line.

Currently on "Damntrak" somewhere between Fern Ridge Reservoir (🙄) and Eugene, so I'll see ya's part way through after I get checked in at Portland lodgings. 😉

Yeah, the Stetcher obsession is wearing thin. He’ll probably keep playing on a regular pair while Blank gets 7th D minutes and a random assortment of partners.

Kind of fucking embarrassing that we spent a shit ton of money on bottom 6 hockey players and a few games into the season only have 11 forwards we want to actually give ice time to though.
 
This is a high flying game where we have to see Marchenko's speed on full display, right?

Seeing Mack and Makar flying, and McKenna looking fantastic to start, Matthews too. I want to see something from Marchy tonight.
 
McKenna's insane speed down the wing, stop on a dime, and find the open guy play that we've seen a dozen times already is so fucking impressive.
