It's coming this offseason. Ironically, in the end it will be because of the very good contract everyone in the media made all that fuss about. sure you'd rather keep the PPGish player making 7 million over the one making 11, but such is life.

the Leafs are paying for something they're not going to get unless they put JT back with Marner, and that would mean messing with one of the league's top lines. they have Bunting for next year too so it's very likely that trio stays together.

Willy's lack of give a shit and inconsistent effort mar what should be a 35-40 goal 90 point player, honestly. The reason he isn't that is William Nylander.
