In fairness, Muzzin kinda carries him. It's hard to tell how good he is on his own but he's clearly better than just "ok." They work amazingly well as a pair against toughs so why change it.

eh, the more sophisticated RelTM (as opposed to just Rel) does a pretty decent job of isolating out teammate effects, and Holl leads the dcorps there.

The blueline actually looked good in the 3rd period. It was the forwards who kept failing horrifically at maintaining any sort of pressure, kept turning over the puck in the neutral zone, etc.

Thats exactly why. I'm not worried about Holl being good.

I like the step Holl has taken this season, but he is still a bit of a tire fire out there having to play above his station like this for this long.

It's crazy that when we see Norris calibre defenders play against us give up breakaways (Engvall walked Hedman ffs...), it's completely normal and never changes people's opinions of these Norris calibre defenders. Our guys make a mistake that wasn't really a mistake (Freddy banging a rebound right into Holl/Gourde and it ending up in our net) and it's proof of being a "tire fire" defensively.
