We had zero goals in 2 periods against Toronto. We have 0 goals in 2 periods tonight. We had 2,0, and 1 goals in 3 losses earlier this month. Our goaltending may indeed be an issue but it’s nowhere near being THE issue. I don’t think this team is buying what Rod is selling anymore.

The trade was maybe a catalyst. 88 goes to Colorado and explodes offensively. Rantanan and Hall come here and disappeared. Then you watch Slavin dominate in the 4 Nations and see how he’s being misused here to babysit a guy who’s supposed to be here for his offense. We would be better benching Burns and pairing Stillman with Slavin.

Good luck trying to sell the Caniacs on that one but I get your drift. He has stifled offense and his stubbornness has gotten worse on that no doubt. At the rate their going they should blow it up and rethink their team this summer with all this available cap space they are about to have.

We seem to moderate the play of offensively talented players and maximize the effectiveness of grinders.
 
Svetch pretty much peaked his second season and has not gotten better offensively since in spite of hearing about how hard he works.
 
Rod has no answers, this team isn’t dealing with injuries or adversity they just are not that good. Not even NHL.500 in over 3 months says it all.
 
You guys took way too many penalties and could have had more. Hey, took the Habs 10 tries to beat you once. It happens.
 
The team as a whole has clearly lost the ability to score. The power play is beyond terrible - probably worst in the NHL - and they're no longer turning forechecking into scoring opportunities. I was hoping Rantanen would improve the situation, but we remain inept.
 
Glad I quit watching in the 2nd. Having two abysmal performances in a row, is something we haven’t usually experienced and yet here we are. Houston, we have a problem.
