Prob'ly from the other players - from Sebastian - they all seem to give each other nicknames. Nice win. If they had played this well in October...

They aren't great and they don't often overwhelm anybody BUT they aren't getting overwhelmed by anybody either. Crappy games seem to be when they just can't get their mess together. I/we can't expect the playoffs but they aren't bottom feeders anymore. And really not shabby considering the Canes have the lowest payroll in the NHL. Damned near a miracle.

That's a handle that Coach Peters rather proudly claimed to have hung on him during his first camp with him, presumably based off the first name.

However, I heard Forslund say tonight on The Aftermath, "he doesn't respond to it".

Doubt that's his locker room name or what the guys call him out on the town. But the media seems to have picked up on it.

Great, entertaining game. Ward was outstanding, despite the score. I hope this means Murphy has seen his last game with us. Tennyson is not great, but we just play better more consistently when he's in the lineup instead of Murphy.

Someone, anyone, some NHL GM out there...please make the call to Francis seeking a slick, puck moving defenseman on an affordable contract and offer a bag of pucks in return...the Canes could always use the pucks and the roster spot!!!

Tennyson has managed to be at pretty much the same level every night since he got called up. Given that you have no idea what to expect from the other options shift to shift, much less game to game ... yeah. He ain't great but he's steady.
