GDT: Canes v. Habs 3/29 5:00

On a sidenote, why do all the dudes from Lane and associates look like bad character actors from the Sopranos. Tell ole boy they put buttons on shirts for a reason, especially when you’re a sixty-seven year-old fat guy. I wouldn’t let those guys work on my car let alone my teeth.

You don’t want those fat, old fingers in your mouth eh??? 🤣

Well, clearly Montreal is not a great matchup for what we do. As noted, fortunately, barring some absolutely unforeseen circumstances here in the last couple of weeks of regular season play, we wouldn't need to worry the Habs again until the Eastern Conference Finals, if we both get that far.

I'll admit to leaving the arena tonight honestly not really giving a S### about the loss at all because.......

Oy! All Tripp and Mike could say was that it could be a win if the Canes had scored, but for those saves… real freakin’ Einsteins in that booth and with mics, too! 🤯

He does well dealing with the large shot volume flurries without getting rattled
I've always wondered if our penchant for shooting at every opportunity (instead of more selectively) works against us. Does it allow the opposing goalie to get into the rhythm of the game and build confidence? Doesn't matter, we lost this game because the Habs converted on their chances and we didn't even though we controlled the flow of play for most of the game.

Lots of shot volume and some point blank action, but Dobes was dialed in to the point where they needed to get him moving to score and Carolina just never really got that done.

When I read your comment, my first thought was that’s what we do on the power play— over pass and look for the best shot. Sometimes I think we’d be better just peppering the goalie with shots and squeezing down on rebounds.
