GDT: Canes v. Jets 3/2 12:30

Kooch with one gaffer on a long low slider 5 hole, and twice he bit on a first move leaving the 2nd move wide open for tap in.... not his best 6 minutes. But he's not getting a lot of help. Go back to the locker room and start the 3rd over.

LMFAO! Headcase in net, you want that guy starting in the playoffs huh…you just can’t give free goals away in this league.

Kochetkov showing exactly why I don't trust him ... just lost focus in the 3rd and cost the Canes 2 points. You guys know I don't like to pile on the goalie but that was on him. Also, the equipment guy that couldn't get Pesce a stick on their second goal didn't help matters much. But that first goal? That's 100% between Kooch's ears.

Absolutely. I was worried after they named him rookie of the week, and he looked good at first, but then he seems to go into la-la land when he doesn't sense an immediate threat. And that 1st goal he allowed from near the blue line was slow and straight at him. That changed the entire complexion of the game. Later, he thinks he can poke check way, way, way out of his crease when there are 2 players breaking his way. That's just an incredibly stupid decision. True, the rest of the team looked snake bit - but this is one the goalie lost, IMO.

This team isn't going anywhere this season guys so trading and overpaying for a new starter is pretty pointless. This season was botched in the off season imho.
kinda said the same thing to my son leaving the arena today. By this time in the year you kinda get a feeling as to how deep you can go and right now the canes just aren’t looking like a team that can play consistently good enough to make a deep run. Goalie play and too many key guys just not getting it done right now. Looking at that 4 line in particular. Uggh.

Just WOW. I had to take care of some business and couldn't watch or listen to the third. I had a bet with my nephew (from Atlanta, former Thrash fan, finishing his masters @ Tulane). He had already texted me where to send the money & didn't watch the third either. I thought my phone was broken when it said 5-3 Jets. What the actual [Polar's word]? FIVE unanswered in the 3rd period? Way to get ready for the playoffs. Kooch needs to talk to a shrink over that one.

I was really bummed by yesterday’s collapse, but I keep reminding myself that we have been among the best teams in the league for the last two months. There is still plenty of time (and potential pre-trade deadline moves to make) to right this ship.

I’m disturbed by how completely they broke down after Connor’s goal. If they’re that fragile after their goalie allows a softie, there is more to do than fix the roster. Winnipeg is a good team, no doubt, but to follow up one of the best periods of the season with a period straight out of the 6+ years of Kirk Muller/Bill Peters is concerning.
