and there ya have it. A microcosm of the canes season.
Orlov’s last shift ended with 8:20 left in the 3rd after Fiala scored his 2nd. Chatfield played 1 shift in the last 10 minutes, partnered with Slavin. And Gleason put Slavin with Walker and Burns with Ghost, but that was probably in an effort to generate offense.

It was pretty obvious which guys were feeling the effects of illness last night, and anybody not giving those guys some grace should maybe check themselves a bit. Bad matchup for a game with half your team feeling sick, too. Nobody squeezes a game better than the Kings and they squeezed that one dry. All you can do if you're Carolina is move on to the next one because there's nothing to learn from that.
