The best part of the night (for those of us in the building) was when a 97-year-old WWII veteran was recognized as the Hero of the Game. It was as loud for that as it was when they recognized Svetch for his 100th career goal.

I’m not sure what last night was but that’s how you play your game tonight! All four lines were going and the defensive coverage was solid, Soupy is a head case and needs a good shrink but it feels good to put a seven spot up.

Great win tonight! The PNC was rocking, and the Oilers were reeling. A few quick comments:
- The salute to the WWII vet was something special - and the crowd was loud
- Svech was a monster, and it was fun to see him go after it with McDavid
- McDavid is a monster and seemed to be on the ice for every shift
- The mystery foul that resulted in a penalty shot remains very much a mystery
- The problem described with Bally Sports TV feed has persisted all season. It freezes constantly.
