GDT -- Entitled to Entitlements vs. Leafs, 7 PM CBC

Andersen is, so far, not a good goalie. He customarily lets in 4+ goals. Once in a while, fine. But he does this with alarming regularity.

February (to date): .892

That is not nearly good enough.
 
Andersen hasn't been good enough.

LOF is right on that 3rd goal. That was a sloppy clearing attempt by Rielly straight onto Karlsson's stick.

We need to improve our team defense. Gardiner isn't getting it done. Rielly and Zaitsev are our only capable top 4 defenders.
 
Is there a player more useless on this team then Ben Smith? Rielly and Gardiner have been awful as well and can't get a big save from Andersen

They actually got a lot of great saves from Andersen last night.

I don't know how many you can reasonably expect from a goalie.
 
they really didn't. he made a coulle good saves but all the goals were stoppable.

anderson had many more good saves.
 
marner being out really exposes bozak and jvr.

the matthews and kadri lines were excellent.
 
Bozak is a terrible player. He's a guy you want in a skills competition, but is totally lacking in the things that make someone a really good hockey player. He'll always put up some points but is too much of a liability overall.

The first two goals were crazy deflections through a crowd of players.

The third one was a laser labeled off the bar and in after a really horrible play by Rielly.

The fourth was on the PK after a super dumb penalty by Kadri, yet another blown faceoff, and then poor coverage resulting in a mad scramble in front of the net.

The first two were unstoppable and the last two should be blamed on the players that caused them.

none of those would have been remarkable saves if he had made them. and even if he had stopped only one of them his performance looks much better, and the team likely gets points.

Guys, as much as Zeke may be hard on Andersen... the numbers are clear. He is near the bottom of the league in SV% and GAA. Its not good enough, period.

As for last night, Craig was better than Freddy, and it showed. When the leafs were pouring it on, it could have easily been 4-2 or 5-2 for the leafs, but he held the Sens in there and look at the result. We need more of that from Freddy.
