Dvorak will be gone, we need centers, let's wait before anointing Beck as ready. The team can still use some veterans.

If there is a better UFA available for cheaper, then of course, but also then why would Evans fetch more than the other guy?

always a team overpaying bottom 6 especially with a decent year

Team stinks with or without Evans , plus will be 29 in the summer

2.5M is nothing money, contract duration would matter more to me. But I doubt we let both Dvorak and Evans go without making sure that there is a similar veteran C, good D and faceoffs, to replace them. That's why I wouldn't be shocked if they resign Evans and go with a player they know instead of rolling the dice on another.

yeah last time we let two centres go, we ended up with Dvorak
 
It ultimately depends on what we would get in return for Evans in a trade.

If we can only get a 4th round pick for him? Then I'd think about re-signing him. But if we can get a 2nd? Sorry, I'm not holding on to a depth center for a 2nd round pick.

Playoff Warrior Eller will be available this summer, along with a bunch of depth centers.

Why not both? We can trade him AND resign him.
 
The only player that I've actually seen that happen with was Keith Tkachuk & the St. Louis Blues. I'm sure there are other examples, but it's so infrequent.

If he was available and willing, then sure. Why not.
