GDT Game 21: VS Chicago, Friday, November 25, 2:00 PM EST

I've seen many. Would love to see more but I'm fine. You're trying to trigger Bradley though and that's just mean.

not true, I'm on Brad's side. Growing impatient about seeing a nice 6 game losing streak. But I still believe it's coming.

And should it not? Looking more and more like they'll 500 this the whole way

I'll deal with that tragedy when it comes. Until then, hope is the word.

It's a tough pill to swallow considering expectations but Hughes did a remarkable job bringing in quality forwards and the D and Montembeault just really responded well. MSL has a lot to do with that as well.

Yes. We were saying a couple of weeks back that this team just does not have the air of a club that is hanging on and about to crash. Still holds. The young legs leading the outfit, Suzuki and Caulfield, have lots of spring in their step. Montembault may be the biggest question, but right now he is square to the puck, playing like a top goalie. That may continue or not. Whether all this is a good thing is, of course, open to debate.

A solid goalie (such as what we are seeing now) can make a huge difference with the team playing like it is. They will eake out all kinds of points otherwise lost in close games. Again, I, too, am torn about how much I want to see that.

That’s being lost on many amongst tank nation, the “success” has been due to step up in development of the young players overall games. “Playing the game” vs “playing their game” - that’s what been lacking in the forever loser kingdom Buf, Edm, Sens etc.

Hasn’t the fanbase been poo pooing the mediocre development record of the org going back 30-years?

With a decent special teams this team is in the playoffs.

They either have to start losing a lot and fast or pedal to the metal forward.

agreed on all that
but we need another elite stud in the stable and this draft cuvee seemed like perfect timing… plan b is to get that stud in UFA but you know all too well that MTL is not on the radar for the most desired talents
