don't be selfish, lose Edmonton, win Monday and TuesdayThey can lose this one if they want. But they need to win on Saturday.

yeah his play has droppedHarris is struggling w physicality
he was limped offUgly win, but I will take it. Hopefully Guhle is ok, sounded like he was hurt from blocking a shot near the end of the game
That was a snoozefest too.Had the game on this morning in the background. Holy snoozefest.
Enjoyed the Bills/Pats game more
Pats losing is NEVER a snoozefest. That was a snoozefest too.
Brad must be devastated.
It would be stupid to not look at all the options. It would also be stupid to break the bank for him. There is only 1 discussion ......he goes to the highest bidder
This is a Nero move to even consider signing him
But the following 3-straight wins would devastate againnothing 3 straight losses can't mend

I would look to deal Dvorak first at deadline. His NTC kicks in this summer, and I expect Beck will earn a C spot for next year.It would be stupid to not look at all the options. It would also be stupid to break the bank for him.
But as I said before, he fits in perfectly, and we don't exactly have many prospects gunning for that 2nd center spot. But no way should we commit long term to him, and I doubt he would accept a shorter term contract.

Leadership , etc....all hockey talk rubbishI would look to deal Dvorak first at deadline. His NTC kicks in this summer, and I expect Beck will earn a C spot for next year.
I also see Monahan betting on himself & signing a “show me” 2-year deal at present AAV ($6M) taking him to 30, positioning him for his final long term retirement deal. Given his hip issues I don’t foresee any team offering him a longterm deal this summer
If Monahan is willing to go short term, his experience + leadership would serve the team well over next couple of years
Because IMO this will be the last year of any rebuild, retool etc. Next season will be a push towards making the playoffs, including off season acquisitions to achieve said goalLeadership , etc....all hockey talk rubbish
Why bother giving him 2 years when the team is going nowhere
Half this team might be gone by next year , SM doesnt fit what this team needs
I'd trade him for a first round pick, even knowing full well that the player we draft with that pick will likely not be as good a player as Sean was/is . . . but he'll be much younger and will thus fit the actual timeline for this team, not the fantasy one that Sal keeps referring to.If Monahan continues to play at this level, he won’t have to bet on himself. He’d be a veteran who has demonstrated a recovery from injuries. He’d get 5 years easily, I think.
Cmon , last year of a rebuildBecause IMO this will be the last year of any rebuild, retool etc. Next season will be a push towards making the playoffs, including off season acquisitions to achieve said goal
