I am content to simply watch and wait, aware that not every bet pays off.
 
Maybe Barron won't amount to anything, that's a real possibility.

But that's the reality of draft picks and prospects. Justin Barron has real talent, but he needs to figure out a way to transition it to the NHL level so that it can work. If he can't, then he'll be one of many late first round picks that never panned out.

If they weren't stocking the cupboards like they are i would care more. Not all prospects pan out. That's why getting that second rounder was also important.

Look at it this way, Xhekaj is found money and will play in the league awhile. You win some and you lose some.

FWIW, over the holidays was at a party down here, where there just happened to be the Eastern Canada scout for an NHL team, after a bit of idle chat and mentioning I was a big Habs fan, I decided to take a chance and ask his thoughts on some of the Habs young players / prospects from OHL, and Q.

He said Barron is essentially the same player today he was at 17 with Mooseheads, having shown very little growth since his draft year, other than having put on some muscle. Found it interesting an NHL scout was so forthcoming to avg fan, in saying his “on ice situational awareness has stalled”

Translation: HuGo got anally raped in acquiring a retard, for a highly valued asset that should’ve netted a better return
