No, we got the win. If you lose in overtime or a shootout you get a welfare point because losers don't actually deserve any points.

After last year's draft debacle(?), I don't think it much matters where we draft beyond the first 2-3 picks in most drafts. Once the obvious choices are gone, we will likely pick the wrong guy anyway. Finishing further back may not make a difference, or maybe we will fluke the right guy at our later pick , or other teams will screw up the earlier picks. So I'm enjoying the games and wins more this year even if the future is questionable. .

No, its more that there were a couple of guys guys I wanted a lot more, one in particular. Reinbacher, from what I can gather, was a bit of a stretch anyway at our spot, and we might well have gotten him later. Or, if not him, a comparable. Finishing a couple of spots higher or lower may not matter in these cases, and I might as well hope for wins I realize.
I have never seen Reinbacher play, and am really hoping he does well.

I would have taken Michkov too, and still would, but if Reinbacher has a Pietrangelo-like impact and career, you can’t really criticize the pick, even if Michkov becomes a star player.
That Pietro comp trumps a star Michkov unless he turns into a superstar
25+ minute a night 2 way horse D are gold and provide more impact to a game
But if he’s more Adam Larssen, rip away on HuGo/Bobrov.
