Then see what Leonard and Benson became.what is the small Russian is more like Perezhogin than Kovalev?

we weren't taking little BensonThen see what Leonard and Benson became.
He wasn't a stretch at five. I've read that many teams had him up higher than Michkov and that teams were trying to get our pick. Some wanted Michkov, some Reinbacher. No, its more that there were a couple of guys guys I wanted a lot more, one in particular. Reinbacher, from what I can gather, was a bit of a stretch anyway at our spot, and we might well have gotten him later. Or, if not him, a comparable. Finishing a couple of spots higher or lower may not matter in these cases, and I might as well hope for wins I realize.
I have never seen Reinbacher play, and am really hoping he does well.
Irrelevant. He was a forward drafted in that range (5-13) picks and yes, it’s my arbitrarily defined range.we weren't taking little Benson
had we taken a 13th ranked guy 5th you would have howled we reached for a midgetIrrelevant. He was a forward drafted in that range (5-13) picks and yes, it’s my arbitrarily defined range.
Yotes had him #1 on their list at 6 , he was gone for sureCoyotes took a D with the next pick, doubt he falls any farther than that.
Benson was a lock in the top 10 on most mock draftsIrrelevant. He was a forward drafted in that range (5-13) picks and yes, it’s my arbitrarily defined range.
Probably, but also irrelevant. I think you’re missing my point. I’m not paid by the Canadiens to project 18 year old prospects 3-5 years out. Bobrov is. A lot.had we taken a 13th ranked guy 5th you would have howled we reached for a midget
The possibility for Michkov to become "special" was too great to ignore IMO. That said, who knows. Most, including me, thought the Habs were nuts for picking Bob Gainey where they did.what is the small Russian is more like Perezhogin than Kovalev?
How old are you ? Napier (over Bossy) is the first draft I remember. What a fail. The possibility for Michkov to become "special" was too great to ignore IMO. That said, who knows. Most, including me, thought the Habs were nuts for picking Bob Gainey where they did.
apparently Bossy was scared of the corners....How old are you ? Napier (over Bossy) is the first draft I remember. What a fail.
So you pair him with Trottierapparently Bossy was scared of the corners....
The way some of the other forwards picked after him are doing, ya, it doesn't look good. Even Ryan Leonard looks like he's going to be pretty damn good.I love how you’ve already seemingly written off Reinbacher.
Did you say the same thing after Poehlings WJC?The way some of the other forwards picked after him are doing, ya, it doesn't look good. Even Ryan Leonard looks like he's going to be pretty damn good.
Really old. I remember all the real drafts, from 1968 onwards. Don't know who I would have wanted in 1973, when I was 17, but it wouldn't have been Gainey. Of course in those days we couldn't follow pick by pick, so we only got the results after the fact. I was just hoping Sam figured out a way to get the first pick and draft PotvinHow old are you ? None of which has anything to do with Reinbacher. The way some of the other forwards picked after him are doing, ya, it doesn't look good. Even Ryan Leonard looks like he's going to be pretty damn good.
And Denis Savard couldn't check his hat and coat, either.apparently Bossy was scared of the corners....
