The boy comment does not bug me at all. Put on your big boy pants if you cant handle that shit. If you have ever played the game, MUCH worse gets said. I have personally heard and said infinitely worse to an opponent.

During slavery in America, the slaves were addressed as "Boy!" In South Africa, as well... But I guess nonpolitically correct will say to get over it. This board already lets sexists comments and gays slurs fly as it's no big deal...

Reading to much into boy being a racial slur. IMO it is meant to say your opponent is physically inferior to you... you are a boy, I am a man.

Unfortunately when the one you are saying it to is black, it takes on much more meaning...whether you want to admit it or not.

Oh really? And you know I know nothing about this how?

Its my opinion, I really don't care if you agree or not. Furthermore, I am usually the first to jump to PK's defense. Just watch, everyone will be talking about Thornton and not this comment. If PK or anyone else for that matter thought it was racist that would not be the case.
 
The ducks started a goddamn rookie goalie drafted later than beaulieu.... with less ahl and nhl experience than beaulieu... over hiller a longtime starter... and werent scared.....

But therrien has too much of a hardon for experience that he plays the worst defenceman in the league ahead of a rookie whose skating and passing might expose a speed deficiency in his opponent.
