It's analogous to how they gradually/slowly transitioned away from Matheson and to Hutson as power play QB. Same thing will happen in goal if Dobes keeps playing better - anyone who doesn't believe that Dobes is playing way better than Sam doesn't understand what they're watching, no offense.

He has been a different goalie at home.. Both games he has had difficulty finding to puck..

12G, 6A in 22games is more than i expected from him. He also has more assists 5-5 than either Dach or Newhook since he came back. He’s a flawed player but brings a unique dimension to the team. I also think there is more potential to him.
 
As Pierre Larouche famously equipped, "You don't hire Rembrandt to paint your garage."

I don't give a shit that Laine is slow or that he's a shitshow in his own end of the rink. That's not why he's here. He's here to be a powerplay scoring machine and that's exactly what he is.

You dont pay that salary for a one trick PP gun

If you get to the playoffs his below average 5/5 play will be exposed when your attention to detail isnt there

That early PP craziness is not sustainable
