What shit? I don't think he's shit. I'm just not prepared to call his season great so far. He's paid to score, he's done that decently but he's also been the cause for goals against as well. Laine is like Montembeault in that he is what he is and everyone knows what he is, my issue is pumping his tires more than recommended psi.

Except nobody has called him great. I've seen him called useless and bad however.
 
Dach was struggling and many on here were calling him a bust... his play of late has changed that.. Laine is in the same boat.. he has the year to get into NHL game shape.. we picked up Monty on waivers and he is one of the reason we are in da mix.. no one is saying he is the savior. Monty is not the future we all know that..

You can hope but Laine doesn't really approach his job with any enthusiasm so it appears he doesn't really care.

As for Monty, I agree but apparently the Habs management and coach doesn't get that he's simply too small to have that kind of workload. He's a backup.

What are you trying to say? should we go out and get a goalie when we have very good goalie prospects coming up? I like Dobes but i am not sold on him either, not yet, you need a strong mindset to be a goalie in Montreal, he cant play all the games on the road.. Like Geeman says Monty is buying us time, . IMO we are squeezing as much juice as we can out of Monty and he is ONE of the reasons we are in da mix..

What I'm saying is I disagree with babying Dobes. If they want to make the dance, which it's clear they don't care if they do or not, then you need to rest Montembeault more. Not a difficult concept here.

If you want to see just what you have in Dobes, now is the time. This mentality that it'll hurt his progress is not logical in the least.
