There will be a good forward at our turn, very likely that Eiserman will be there, which is why I’m in favor of drafting but I’m open for trade if there is a first line forward available.

In all likelihood, I think he is what he was on Colorado: A useful third line winger that can help in spurts on the top-6, but not a an everyday player on a solid top-6 for a contender.

Bednar wanted Newhook to play chip & chase, which is not at all his game. He’s not a board battle puck retriever type he’s a speed transition player which is what Habs want from him

Good observation. I wasn't too keen on him until just before he went down. At that point he looked much better. I see lots of upside now. Can't wait for next year when Dach is back in the mix. I can see those 2 growing their games together. And we'll have a legit top-6. I see another Newhook-type trade on the horizon to provide the right 3rd linemate for them.
