Should have traded him for a huge return after his career year. Now his value is half what it was last summer.

And Evans should have been traded at the 40 game mark before his carriage turned back into a pumpkin.

The MM was a huge miss , best to move at the deadline and give a team 2 playoffs and recoup some assets

I wasn't. This team hasn't been a legitimate threat to accomplish anything for 30 years. First place, last place, doesn't matter. Everyone knew (or ought to have known) that they were a fraud.

It's the same thing I tell Leafa fans. You can finish 1st in the Atlantic every year and I will still maintain that you're a fraud. And I'm never wrong. They always get exposed. And the only time during the Bergevin regime were the Habs anything other than a massive fraud was when they were so bad they couldn't even pretend to be otherwise.

Whatever. They were garbage and smart fans knew it was all an illusion. We havent had an elite team since 93 and haven't had a completely dominating team since 89. Everything we've done since 93 has either been a deception or a dumpster fire. The one thing we have not been (and never were under Bergevin) is a legitimate contender. So even that year we finished in 1st we should have been sellers, not buyers at the deadline. But why ruin the delusion?

He was so amusingly wrong.

Ironically this would have been a good year to actually blow our brains. We have the second best defense in the league, we should have went and get some actual talent instead of a bunch of useless plugs.
