Too much artsy, not enough fartsy. He was strong on the puck a few times, and it really showed - he dominated in those moments. Dude is a train. But he’s got to play that way on each shift, not just once or twice.

That Cgy 1st rounder draft position is an important enabler - I expect HuGo to offer a substantial package of both 1st rounders + prospects for Caleb Desnoyers at the draft (I think goes 5-7OA), and find a 2-3 year veteran option at 2C, while Desnoyers cultivates

We seem to be at a point where we are a happy group, everyone pretty much seems to like each other and no one wants to leave. All well and good. It may be a factor in an actual overachievement this year based on our talent level. I find it hard to believe we can go any higher than our present position with this group this year.

Apparently this is a poor cuvée, very shallow, so the holders of 5-7 will not be keen to move down. Definitely would require prospect.

They kept everyone and didn't get rid of anyone. That was the favor that HuGo did for Suzuki. There wasn't anyone they could have grabbed yesterday who would have helped that much.

Im okay with a playoff bound team adding at the deadline to try and put them over the top but I'm not a fan of making moves just to TRY to make the playoffs. If you're comfortably on your way to the playoffs, then I try to add. But if you aren't there, you get nothing. Blowing your brains out trying to squeak into 8th place is a good way to make mistakes.

I would of made some trades for draft capital especially Dvo and Savard

I get they stood pat but these 2 have minimal to no value for a playoff push
