GDT Game 66: VS Devils, Saturday, March 11, 7PM EST

I appreciated Anderson more after seeing him live at the Bell Centre back in February. Different perspective. You have to put up with his occasional judgement errors I guess, but he brings stuff to the table that we have sorely lacked this century. Like the ability to play hard hockey in tough games, and having a pair of hands to go with it for a change.
Right player for when team is ready to compete , not the Habs

He’s exactly the right age to join a contender right now. Contract is more amenable to move at draft or during summer; he won’t be cheap so I imagine potential counterparties will want opportunity to move money around. It’s too hard to do at trade deadline.
Yet - NYR (Gorton) resigned Kreider (same age) at the the start of their rebuild

He’s a very good player, despite what some here believe. And he’s not old . . . yet. But I would probably trade him for a first round pick if there was a player at the draft that I was targeting and he was still available.
So was Gallagher

He’s the better scorer, obviously, but Anderson is way more physical than him.

I’ll take the goals, thank you.

Trading Josh for a first rounder or a Kirby Dach like prospect in the summer would suit me fine

when he shows up once every 10 games
You’re simply jaded, Anderson’s on track for a 25G season - he’s perfectly tailored for MSL heavy transition game.

Habs spent better part of last 35-years looking for a player of that ilk… yeah just deal him, so they can spend another 35-years looking for a big body w speed, 23G+ output and tenacious on the forecheck / transition

Didn’t we draft a guy like that 1st overall?
