GDT Game 69: @ Lightning, Saturday, April 2, 7:00 PM EST

I don’t think he comes back next year , took the job as a school project

I don’t see him going 24/7 for 6 months

I could see him in some other department but not the grind of coaching
He wants to be here for a long time, he made it clear when he was hired. His family can follow him.

I had a good vibe with MSL from his opening presser but I’m not 100% sure he wants the gig

Hughes was asked about it this week and he said something like “we’d like to remove the interim tag” so still a small chance MSL opts out. Hopefully he does not.

Rumour is DD will be teaching Phys Ed. at a Quebec University. Hope his classes are not too complicated.

I am sold on St Louis. I am in! I had a huge smile on my face when i saw Barron start OT
My first thought was how different that approach is to what we got used to with Julien and Therrien. Even in a meaningless game with no playoff implications would either of them risk playing rookies in overtime. They wouldn't even let their best offensive players play, only their best checkers.

All hockey Quebec coaching disciples of Jacques Lemaire hockey. Remember how hard it was for Lemaire to bond w Gaborik?

It's definitely not the reason to claim he's a good coach or not but it's so much different from what we've had in sooo long.

Playing his best players... three rookie defencemen in overtime... five forwards on the power play...

Sitting a veteran to play four young defencemen.

The list goes on...

Now imagine when we have more than four or five good players.

He is playing the troops in roles they can succeed and trusting them , thats all you can ask

It was only one game but Harris has elite wheels and played a smart game
