Agree. But Slafkovsky created some havoc on both goals.

Hence improving / presence felt more as game went on. 1st & into 2nd period you could see he was trying to hear for footsteps.

When Habs swept TBay in 2014, that was supposed to be their learning to get to the promised land … only took them another 6 years

Slow starts and lost faceoffs are destroying us. I thought the Caps were quite impressive till we scored the first goal. Then it all changed. If only we could have gotten the third, before OT when all the momentum was ours. Once it went to OT I figured it would give them a chance to regroup and we would get tentative again.

One thing the team lacks that our recent underdogs had is the low-key but irritating two-way centre that drives the opponent’s star player crazy (Pleks, Danault…)
