GDT | Game 84 | also at Washington | Wednesday, April 23rd | 7:00 PM EDT

Price would’ve won both those games for Habs … despite Diekembe playing great

No Ovy or Beauvillier goals game 1

And neither of first two goals tonight

But that’s what a generational player does… win 1-0, but I agree that’s not sustainable when facing a G who’s almost as good w a stronger team
That's some revisionist history there. Price had a few games in the playoffs, you can probably count it on one hand, where he would have indeed stopped those goals, but the average version of Price would have not make a difference. It's not like Price never let in any stinkers either.

We are still losing both

So you're either expecting Hugo to get two second liners (winger and center), or you think Dach will be the second line winger.

MSL indirectly saying he benched Laine because he wanted players that he thought could contribute means he's gonzo this summer
Laine was a project but he is useless when attention to detail is required

Savard is right handed
He will stay

And it was carrier and Matheson that got caved in tonight
Carrier and Hutson combined don’t weigh as much as Ovi or Wilson

Need more size on the back end , getting pushed around

Should’ve said 2014 onwards playoff Price

Caps aggressive forecheck is good.. they are hitting us every chance they get.. our # 1 line is not getting much space out there so it was nice that we had Dvorak's line score... Home ice advantage should help change that.. MSL move on shortening the bench was a good move.. I totally understand why Laine drove Torts nuts.. we have been the better team in the 3rd period in both games and we had a better start last night ..Caps got a lucky bounce on the 1st goal, we need to get a few bounces...the team is getting better so I hope we have 2 wins in Montreal.. Monty has been very good.. Thompson was good in the 3rd.. we can beat these guys but it will be a battle, the question is , how hard will some of these guys want to battle.. the refs need to start calling the cross checks in front of the net.. they missed too many on 13.. Go Habs Go

Suzuki line dominated game 1 but capitals adjusted.

Habs have been better at home all season so it will help.

Agreed that the habs needed some bounces to advance.

Laine. Well. He is a gadget player. But he is probably also playing on one leg.
