Let's get the GDT started ... the buds need a rebound game, we've got off to a very poor start defensively this season, and played 2 of our worst effort games this week, both resulting in 6-3 losses.

There are some lineup shakeups for this game, with JVR and Martin out, which is not necessarily a bad thing.

Hyman - Matthews - Nylander
Komarov - Kadri - Brown
Marleau - Bozak - Marner
Kapanen - Moore - Leivo

No changes on the blueline, Carrick continues to sit.

Freddie has been playing like crap so it'd be nice if he plays a statement game ... I know he usually reserves those for post-October but we're 3 days away from Nov anyways

Big game for the fourth liners. Hopefully they ante up. Flyers are beatable.

I have high hopes for the new Bozak line too, I think Marleau will help keep them out of their own zone. And what a beaut Brown is, can fit seamlessly on all four lines. Kid turned himself into a real nice player

Leafs really need to start playing better. The last bunch of games they've been really sluggish out of the gate without good goaltending to bail them out.
 
Yeah, definitely need to start better. It's pretty difficult when you're down a goal or two in the first 5 minutes.

And c'mon Freddy, be steady.

One piece of good news is we've responded to every loss with a win this year.
