Like I said it’s not perfect but I would still qualify him as a #1, albeit not my favorite kind.

I always viewed the offensive only D man as a #3. Don't know why.
#1 is a two way very good D. Offensively and defensively that plays in all situations.
#2 is a minute eating stay at home type guy. Your horse.
#3 is your flashy PP guy but usually has less defensive awareness than your #1
#4 is your well rounded utility guy that can spot duty top pairing.
5-6 are your Xhekaj's of the world but he might creep up to a #4 or dare I say it? #2?
